About Us

Meet the director, Auckland electrician Sunia Bloomfield.

Sunia has been providing electrical services to Auckland for nearly 25 years and running Soul Power Electrical since 2009.

With a background in retail and hospitality management Sunia was 30 years old when he started his electrical apprenticeship. Studying with two young boys was a challenge but he is forever thankful he was given the opportunity.

Based in Sandringham, and servicing the major Auckland area, Sunia is proud to have created a solid client base that continues to grow each year. 

Helping others

Supporting the community has always been important to Sunia. In typical fashion he's done that with a bit of soul. Things like Christmas lights at Edendale primary school, helping out at the Gribblehurst repair cafe, sponsoring kids rugby gear at Eden Rugby and a rugby coach for years. 

Being the only Tongan business owner in the NZ Trade Group he is passionate about supporting talented Pasifika youth to achieve their dreams of becoming qualified electricians. He's qualified a few now and continues to support the Māori and Pacific pre-trades course at Unitech in Auckland with apprenticeship opportunities. 

The Soul Power Electrical team

Sunia is supported by his wife Sonya, qualified tradesman Timi and their two sons, Jack and Riley. 

Sunia has always involved his sons in the business, from school holiday work to helping install Christmas lights on their Sandringham home each year. It's no surprise that both are now apprentice electricians working for Soul Power.
